Prompt #2, The Book of Me, Written by You

The prompt for week 2 is Your Birth

Do you have any baby photos? Where were you born? Who was present at your birth? Dimensions? What day was it? Time? Did you have hair? Eye colors? Are you a twin?

My birth. . .I was born in Puunene, Maui, Hawaii.
Yes I have baby photos.
I don't know for certain, but I would think just my mother was present for my birth.
I am not sure how long I was.
I weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces.
I was born on a Monday.
I was born at 4:35 p.m.
I had very little hair
I had blue eyes.
I am not a twin.
I know we stayed in the hospital until March 29th, because my dad wrote his mom that information.

Prompt #1, The Book of Me, Written by You

Prompt #1 is, ask yourself 20 times “Who are you?”  The last time I did this I was 16 years old and I think I still have those answers!

So here is my attempt to answer this in 2014. . .
1. My name is Lani.
2. I am the daughter of Mary and Dwight.
3. I am the wife of Ed.
4. I am the mother of 4 children, Dan, Scott, Karen and Matt.
5. I am a sister to Linda and Rolly.
6. I am a grandmother to Maxwell and Sophia, both the joy of my life!
7. I am a quilter, and sometimes genealogy buff.
8. I am a past scrapbooker (which I need to do more of).
9. I am becoming a healthy person, by losing weight that I have carried for most of my adult life and by exercising.
10.  I am working to be a more positive person in my outlook on life.
11.  I am happiest when working in my sewing room.
12.  I am an adult who finally realizes that life doesn't get easier as you age.
13.  I am an avid tea drinker.
14.  I am a vegetable lover(not something I would have ever believed!)
15.  I love to read books (or listen to them if I am quilting!)
16.  I am an organizer.
17.  I love to be around family.
18.  I also enjoy being by myself.
19.  I like shopping online rather than in the stores.
20.  The exception to #19 is fabric stores, they lift my spirit when I walk in their door.  I can remember being dragged to a fabric store in downtown Seattle with my mom. It had wooden floors and dirty windows, with long rows of bolts of fabrics. . .I hated going there and could not wait to leave. It was so boring to me, sorry Mom!
